Dharmageddon's 'Via Domus' Appraisal
(Comments: 4)
Labels:

There are so many Via Domus reviews floating around at the moment, that I feel it would be of no real value to write up one of my own. So instead I have decided to do things a little differently by highlighting a number of notable aspects of the game, and talking a little about each. For the sake of simplicity, I have sectioned them up into “Good features” and “Annoyances”.

Firstly, it will be worth noting that there will be very mild **SPOILERS** ahead.

Secondly, it might also be worth mentioning that I received and installed my game at midday yesterday, and I completed it before I went to bed last night. So in all it took me around about half a day to complete. Of those twelve hours I only really played for seven of them, possibly even less than that. It is not a long game by any means.

Spot on Dharmageddon

I am pretty disappointed with how short this game is. It just doesn't make any sense. They could've easily added in a few more missions/exploration and made this game so much better because the basics are all there and they're all brilliant.

It just confuses me because it's almost as if the writers/producers of this game didn't want to make it great, they were just happy enough to make a game with the "Lost" signature

you actually understood the ending? It made no sense, wasn't explained, and did not fit in well into the lost storyline.

I pretty much agree with all your comments. I thought the graphics (on xbox 360) were gorgious and the sounds terrific but I'm really glad I rented this instead of bought it for $60. I was hoping for some more creative puzzles. I'm glad they didn't make the people 'cartoon gorgious' but it surprised me they didn't make them as good-looking as they are in real life, in most cases.
